Parti Quebecios

The parti Quebecois had a huge impact on Canada as a nation because they suggested that the future of Quebec was to be independent. After World War One the controversy between English and French speaking Canadians arose again. There was a feeling of urgency and word of a referendum; they wanted to feel as a part of Canada. …and changed the laws of Canada forever. The years of mistreatment caused a ‘quiet revolution.’ This caused many of the French speaking Canadians to take charge in their beliefs. The PQ drove out the Liberals 71 to 100 and stated they wanted independence. They then called a Referendum. Many new laws came into place. Quebec now had a firm grip on Canada. The PQ: new nationalists of Quebec had an astonishing impact on Canada as a nation.
