Pedagogy of the Oppressed: A Critical Book Review
The Pedagogy of the Oppressed A Critical Book Review This paper is a report containing a summery and my own opinion of the novel “Pedagogy of the Oppressed” by Paulo Freire. It is a well-written manifesto for the liberation of oppressed people everywhere. It speaks of love, unity, and knowledge as vital to creating a world of freedom; an end to the dialectical struggle of oppression and liberation. Freire has had a beautiful vision and
to be enlightening. I believe his criticisms of the banking education system to be valid, having experienced it myself. I believe that implementation of education as mutual learning for all in the form of discussion is an excellent way to build confidence and intelligence in people. I will take what I have learned in this book to heart, for it has taught me much, though I must admit that I too am afraid of liberation.
