I still remember the day my grandmother walked for the first time in 3 years. Every single thing that happened seemed so great. Even the noise the floor made as she walked was astounding. …saw a young lady who looked very beautiful and full of life. I wondered why she was in a rehabilitation center and, when I found out, it broke my heart. A bookcase had fallen on her and now she wouldn’t be able to do any daily activity without the help of someone. Her life has been basically destroyed. In that moment I realized, that my life and that of those around me, is precious.
