Why is it in today’s society that Police officers are always seem to be harassing teens in our local community? It is a very common stereotype of today. Teenagers have somehow earned the wrap of being violent and irresponsible, but that is simply not the case. All they would like to be able to do is go out on a Friday or Saturday night without having to worry about the cops following them through …

…search the vehicle; nothing was found, but the cop still insisted he smelled alcohol. The uncontrolled harassing of teens here in Springfield by the city cops needs to be stopped or atleast slowed down. Perhaps if police would layoff of the regular Friday and Saturday night “hunt” for teenagers, then perhaps teens could be free of the constant worry of being chaser or pulled over and the “weekend wars” would cease to assist. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ **Bibliography**
