It’s a Privilege, Not a Right Although I initially decided to volunteer my services strictly for extra credit, I actually enjoyed the experience of polling voters. …vote, they can hit the ground running. College tuition rates are constantly rising and the average student is $20,000 in debt by the time he/she graduates. The problems of college students are far down on the lists of politicians because the volume of our votes is insignificant in determining their success in elections. If students ever decided to collectively take the initiative and vote, politicians would be forced to tend to our problems and needs.
