Progressivism Times were changing rapidly while industrialization and modernization became a huge problem at the start of the new century. The people of this time were determined to achieve social justice and stability. Most American classes began to consider themselves as “progressives”, and were ready to fight any social problem that captured their attention. Another important piece of evidence was the fact that all of her theories put together, came up with her hypothesis that is, all of the hand made crafts come from past family traditions handed down from factory sewing. Seeing these things gave her a better understanding of how Progressivism worked on the lives of discriminated persons, and how white manpower and manhood came about during this large industrial time.
