Can the existence of propaganda be formed with prime time television? A proposal has been developed by Congress and television networks which would involve a trade for ad time already bought in exchange for anti-drug themes to be incorporated in prime time television shows. With Congress creating a massive financial incentive for TV networks, the government’s role in rearranging scripts to promote anti-drug awareness in prime time television, has society questioning their joint decision …

…The audience would have to view programs that may not be suitable for their particular needs. Ethically, how would a certain individual feel after viewing a program not knowing that the concept behind the show was filled with concealed messages? Attempting to teach society the harm of drug abuse is a sensible idea, but by manipulating the mind frame of individuals to practice such actions, defeats the whole purpose of our society’s belief system.
