My study habits consist of numerous techniques in order to learn the material I need to know for each of my classes. I like to read the material in the textbook before it is gone over in class. I then take notes in class and do my best to understand how the textbook relates to what is being taught. Then, two or three days before a test or quiz, I go over notes/outlines and …

…go to work and earn a wage. That is an example of extrinsic motivation, but I also find intrinsic motivation through playing paintball. I also need motivation to go out and play the sport, and spend the time that I do in order to drive to the field and set up all of my equipment. This is intrinsic motivation, because the joy I find from playing paintball motivates me to spend the time doing it.
