Psychoanalysis

Psychoanalysis is a very complex and interesting topic of debate. The foundering father of psychoanalysis is Sigmund Freud (1836-1939). Freud began studying medicine at the University of Vienna in 1873; Freud was very interested in the mind, especially in the forms of mental illnesses such as neurosis and hysteria. …robot sums up the fact we all listen to and follow what society wants regardless of whether it is right or wrong. Society would love for us all to be robotic, like Ash and not question authority. This sums up the idea of Freud’s theory of the Id, Ego and Superego and its reference to Alien as a text. And we can see clearly that Freud’s theory plays a great deal in it.
