In the play A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry and in the short story “Running from Racists” by Suzanne Seixas. Both the Younger’s and the Long’s experience troubled situations dealing with money. In A Raisin in the Sun the Younger’s are surrounded by financial problems through out the entire book. In conclusion the Younger’s and the Long’s have experienced financial problems and because of their color, getting out of their financial problems was rough and caused internal family problems that they had resolved which brought both families closer than they were.
