Reasons for the Civil War

With further abolition movements in the North, the South became increasingly fearful that the North would take away their property and their way of life. Later, with the election of Lincoln, that fear was at its peak and the inevitability of war hit the troops at Fort Sumter and soon the citizens living abroad in these two separate nations.
