Refurbishing older schools

The refurbishing of older institutes of education is slowing becoming more and more common place. In the Savannah area there are few examples of this phenomenon. The Savannah Arts Academy and Richard Arnold are two major established projects. There are numerous quality materials put into older schools, which newer schools lack. …Better materials, better location and more space make older schools better. If only the community understood, and the reason they don’t is because they don’t realize this is happening. Instead of revitalizing they are condemning and that is a waste of space and money. Why must society be so blind to what is happening right under its nose? More historic schools must have a second coming and the renaissance needs to start today.
