In the book Nothing But The Truth, I feel that Philip’s dad, Mr. Mallory, is to blame. For the spreading and the rumors of Philip showing his display of patriotism. There are several things that happened in the book that has led me to believe and feel this way. I feel that the whole incident was taken way to far. Things just started getting way out of control. …things that happen can get take way out of control. Was it really necessary for it to be printed in the paper? It was a student Philip Mallory humming to try to annoy his teacher. I don’t think that it was necessary. Mr. Mallory made a big deal out of a little fuss. The whole story got taken way out of hand, when Philip was not singing he was humming to the National Anthem.
