Revolution for Change

Alexis de Tocqueville and Karl Marx both believed that revolutions were inevitable. However, the two did not agree on all aspects of revolution. …is a link between revolution and the formation of a modern state. The oppressed, those unhappy with the current situation, will be in favor of progression; while those reaping the benefits of the time will be in favor of stagnation. People in general are not apt to change. In order to become more modern states must go through change, which often results in a violent uprising, as has been noted through the course of history.
