…that it is difficult to rival. They say the pen is mightier than the sword, but no weapon can be truly formidable lest wielded in the hands of a master. Much as a master swordsman could impress any crowd gathered round a feast, Shakespeare’s vigorous, highly trained lashes with a pen enthralled any audience gathered round his theater. The tool of his trade, language, made impressions within our society which can never be erased.
