He stalks the lovers, reminding them of the grief that has come from Tybalt and Mercutio’s deaths and perhaps even the grief that will come from theirs. Consequently, in the end, Romeo and Juliet’s bad fortunes lead to their deaths. Romeo and Juliet are the perfect example that one’s fortune, good or bad, has the power to turn love into death.
