Rosa Parks Rosa Parks was born on February 4, 1913 in Tuskegee, Alabama as Rosa Louise-Lee Parks. She was raised in her grandparent’s house in Pine Level, Montgomery. Her mother’s name was Leona Edwards and her father’s name was James McCauley, they met in an African Methodist Episcopal Church.
