Ruach Review
Book Review The Rauch Review In the book Government’s End Jonathon Rauch paints a dark picture of the American political system. He says most all people in today’s society belong to an interest group one way or another. “ But the fact is that seven out of ten Americans belong to at least one association.” (Rauch) Rauch writes that the system is being saturated by thousands of interests groups, which is making government gridlock,
of how Washington works in today’s society. I believe the answer is not a simple one. Plus, there will not be a quick fix to all this. Though for anything to get done government it must be able to be flexible, and decisive in there decision making process. The art of politics is compromise in today’s political environment, and most times that does get meaningful things done. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ **Bibliography** Rauch,Jonathon 1997.
