…Salem Town in 1752 and became the town of Danvers. However, this separation did not wipe away the history of the witch trials from its past. Even to this day, historians, sociologists, psychologists and others continue to research and write about the witch trials. The Salem witch trials continue to serve as a reminder of how lack of medical technology, the fear of the unknown and unexplainable, and hatred among community members can yield tragic consequences.
