Willy's obsession with acquiring wealth and being a salesman made it impossible for him to do so and thus never reaches his ideal and succeed in life. Krapp’s has succeeded in his younger life and know feels like pitying himself before he passes away. Both antiheroes never accomplish anything and have no positive impact in any ones lives or themselves.
