Schizophrenia is a psychiatric disorder that is characterized by a variety of symptoms and the disorganization of feeling and thought. The many forms of schizophrenia often dispute the several theories to its causes. Twin studies have supported the fact that schizophrenia may be hereditary, although there are several other possible causes such as brain disorder. There is no cure to schizophrenia, but there are many treatments involving psychiatry and medicine that may eventually lead to one.
