Sense and Sensibility

In the novel Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen, the more sensitive character, Marianne, is shown more compassion and generally favored more by the author throughout the novel. Jane Austen looks upon her sensitive embodiment with more compassion than that of sense. Although she merges these tow characteristics at the end of the novel, Marianne is granted the more ideal and perfect relationship, and is overall thought to be more beautiful, artistic, and talented that her sensible sister Elinor.
