Sentencing the Electric Chair

When the United States became an independent nation, a Constitution was made which guaranteed certain inalienable rights to its citizens. Within the constitution there are 27 amendments. These cover the most important rights that the United States people have. …it carries out the sentence rapidly and painlessly and therefore it is neither cruel nor unusual punishment. The mild discomfort the inmate feels when being strapped into the chair is not an issue because the straps are to insure the inmate goes through a painless death. As long as the chair’s maintenance program is continued and it continues to function properly it should continue to be used as Florida’s form of capital punishment.
