Sin and Evil

The Scarlet Letter shows throughout the entire book both sin and evil. The people that showed the most sin and/or evil throughout the book were Chillingworth, Dimmesdale, Hester, and Pearl. All of these people have done something evil or have committed some sort of sin that everyone knows about. Chillingworth was the one that demonstrated the most evil. …felt relieved of his sin. Chillingworth died about a year or so after him alone and still upset. The meaning of Hester’s A had changed from Adulteress to able, and she was finally respected by the people. Pearl grew up to be a wonderful young women who was said to be married. Although at some point in time many people are know for some sort of sin or evil they can always be forgiven.
