Individuals who don’t consider social class to be a main priority are likely to make choices with other goals in mind; this may or may not result in acquiring social status. With people all having unique motivators and goals, individuals will consciously make decisions supporting what is in their best interests, thus choosing their station on the social stratification ladder.
