Special Friends
I walked home from school, carrying a load of books on my aching shoulders. Each step I took was accompanied with a wish that I was already at home, resting on my cozy bed. As I dragged my foot along, I could see small pieces of dried tar rolling on the rough surface. Upon reaching my doorstep, I heaved a heavy sigh of relieve and pleasure. At last, I last reached my long waited destination;
lick my hands and then playfully bite my fingers. It was like telling me to cheer up. This special friendship went on. The puppy is now a plump, healthy dog named Lost. I did not see him everyday but I never forgot to leave food for him on my mother’s doorstep. Lost died under my mother’s front porch went I was eighteen. This special friendship is indeed a relationship I will never forget.
