Stalingrad The Battle of Stalingrad was a very important battle in World War II. Stalingrad was the site of a crucial Soviet victory that stopped Germany’s advancement into the east. This intense event was extremely significant in the outcome of the Second World War. After the Germans failed to win the war in 1941, they decided to start all over again, and hoped for victory.
