Whether I was learning how to sail, doing yard work, or hearing stories about “the good old days,” I was learning how to be a man of good manners, becoming more self- reliant, and benefiting from summering in such a beautiful place. I believe that the skills and values I learned from summering on the Cape will help me in the new way of life I will soon experience in college.
