“Suffrage Wins in Senate; Constitutional Amendment is Passed, fifty-six to twenty-five. Women May Vote in nineteen-twenty”- The New York Times June fifth, nineteen-nineteen. Spanning from eighteen-forty to nineteen-nineteen, the fight for the voice of women everywhere to be heard took determination, courage, and endurance to be noticed in what was then considered a “man’s world.” The nineteenth amendment states “the right of the citizens of the United States to vote shall not be
audiaciousness of Mrs. Elizabeth Cady Stanton and the aide of mighty women such as Susan B. Anthony, God knows where women would be right now. At home? Ignorant? Uneducated? Probably so. The National American Women Suffrage Association started a change of events that gave women the desire to be open and to stand firm on what they believe in. This was the major turning point in history that formed the woman’s world today” (Flixster 288.)
