THE ADJUNCT In the poem, “The Adjunct”, writer Howard Pflanzer is describing the life of the adjuncts, part time professors in Universities, and colleges. The meaning of the poem is to show people about the lives of adjuncts. It’s obvious from the poem that the writer is an adjunct himself, and he writes about his own life, and his students. …of Adjuncts is very important and we need to do everything we can to better the conditions of part time professors. They work very hard and they deserve better conditions and benefits than they get. I hope that after the hearing it would improve and government will give more money to better their situation. P.S. I assumed the writer as a “He” because the author of the poem is a man.
