The Bridge

While working on this assignment I found it very difficult to interpret the poem as a whole. The poem in its’ entirety is very complex. However, as I focused my attention on the individual versus, rather than the whole, I was able to get a much clearer understanding of the words. …sits and watches the images on the screen, he realizes that there are also many other people there watching with him, and he wonders how they feel about the movie. Although they are all watching the same movie he thinks that they could each have a different view of what it means. I thought this was interesting because it is similar to poetry where everyone reads the same words but can develop several different interpretations.
