The Canterbury tales: Our time versus Chaucers time

Geoffrey Chaucer wrote “The Canterbury Tales” in the 1300’s. During this period life was very different from the one that we know. …upon when there is not. Canterbury tales represent a time that people today have no comparison to. The lives that people led and their views of society differ greatly from today. The Church was the center of the universe and influenced every aspect of daily life. The traditional lifestyle that they found fitting no longer is seen to be desirable. It is now a time for equality and prosperity no matter what gender or status.
