The Crucible was published in1953 and was written Arthur Miller. There were three major themes in the book. They were personal liberty, the need for integrity, and the human bond. In this paper I will dicuss the three major themes
community of Salem of being witches. The second major theme in “The Crucible” is the need for integrity. Integrity means possession of firm principles: the quality of possessing and steadfastly adhering to high moral principles or professional standards, completeness: the state of being complete or undivided, and wholeness: the state of being sound or undamaged. Though the trial has religious and super-natural implications Miller tends to show the troubles as stemming from recognisable human failings.
