The Crucible: Movie Review In the movie version story of The Crucible, there are three significant alterations that made an impact on the story’s synopsis: the various outdoor scenes and Abigail Williams’ more overt immorality. The outdoor scene during the reproving and confession of John Proctor taken place in the large puddles in the town gave a greater effect in the story’s intentions. …Her persistence shined as she showed no feeling of guilt or remorse and as she runs away and steals thirty-pounds from her uncle. Such revisions in the movie intensified the implied meanings of the story. Hearing their lines and context and seeing the scenes come to life also assisted the modification of the movie. The changes were significant and the rest of the movie was very close to the plot, especially with the extra scenes.
