The Crucible: Love Triangle
The Crucible: Love Triangle Love, hatred, and revenge all play a part of this play’s love triangle. These three reasons all led up to the cause of the tense relationship of John Proctor, Elizabeth Proctor, and Abigail Williams. The three characters had dense relationships with each other. John is married too Elizabeth who commits adultery with Abigail. Abigail was working for the Proctor’s until Elizabeth discovers the relationship and fires Abigail. John is
desperate to stay innocent has the other girls brain washed to accuse everyone, including the John and Elizabeth Proctor. These accusations stir the triangle into trouble. But, the love of John and Elizabeth is much stronger then lust and treachery. The loyalty to each other kept John and Elizabeth together not letting a little, “Whore”, Josh says get in the way. The love triangle is just two in the end and loses the third party.
