…or Cuba. Therefore, the economic embargo placed on Cuba should be lifted. The embargo has hurt the poor people of Cuba and has not demoted Castro of his government position. This was one of the goals of the embargo, which has obviously failed. Even though there is an embargo on Cuba, the United States still presents Cuba with humanitarian aid. These arguments make it pointless for the embargo on Cuba to still be in effect.
