The Deep Meaning of My Name

My name, Jung Gun, does not mean anything in Korean, but when I write it in Chinese it means something. It is written as ä¡ (Shim) ïÕ (Jung) ÐÆ (Gun). Jung means ¡°well behaved¡±. And Gun means, ¡°root¡±. You can¡¯t fit all these characters as one meaning but all of them have deeper meanings. Jung is ¡°well behaved¡± which means, generous, well mannered, and kind. …and they told me that ¡°jung¡± meant war in Urdu. I was amazed that my name actually meant something in another language. My friends in Karachi gave me a nickname: war gun. I like my name and I also like the meanings of my name. One problem though is that many people pronounce my name wrong. I don¡¯t get mad, but I just say to myself, ¡°Hmm these Korean names are hard to pronounce.¡±
