The Garden of Eden

The characters in The Epic of Gilgamesh and the Genesis story of the Garden of Eden both contain the perpetual values and character traits of: greed for power, man’s inability to resist female temptation, and man’s need for companionship. The Epic of Gilgamesh and the Genesis story of the Garden of Eden contain characters who have personality traits which are very similar to the personality traits of people in modern society. Many stories represent values and contain characters whom people can generally relate to; these two works are no exception.
