(142)         Gatsby's desire of marrying Daisy causes him to change his morals in order to acquire enough wealth. However, he becomes unaware of the obstacles that lie in his path, even with all the wealth he has. In The Great Gatsby, Scott Fitzgerald illustrates the idea that wealth cannot buy everything, especially not true love.
