Inspired by Canada’s vast wilderness, the Group of Seven developed a unique style of painting that broke away from the old and brought in the new. “They have become the most famous artists in Canadian history,” says gallery curator Megan Bice, “symbolizing for many the concept of a distinctly Canadian Identity.”
