…and don't receive attention they think they deserve then they do what they think is necessary to be happy or be loved. In Walker's short story we also see that women go free from people who don't give them as much love but hold on to those who do show them love. Women are creatures who are in need of love and/or freedom and are willing enough to get either one no matter what.
