There were so many philosophers born during the Age of Enlightenment because of the popularization of science. Those philosophers created the ideologies used in the French Revolution and most of the ideologies came from John Locke and Jean Jacques Rousseau. On the other hand, we can say that the Age of Enlightenment led to the French Revolution.
