When the votes came in the popular vote for Roosevelt was 57.4% and for Hoover 39.6%. Roosevelt won 45 states with 472 votes and Hoover won 5 states with 59 votes. After the election Roosevelt would lead America out of the Great Depression and would be considered one of the greatest presidents of all time.
