The Reader Webster’s dictionary defines the word relationship as the connections between or among other people. Life is filled with relationships, whether it is our family, our friends, and maybe one special love. They play an important role in determining one’s character. The relationships that are personally invited, friends and lovers, are more essential, because one chooses them to be a part of their life. Michael and Hanna’s kinship was of choice, …

…because she had to keep her secrets to herself. Even when her life was on the line she did not budge or even think about telling her secret. She went through life without opening up to anyone, and in return she passed on the numbness to Michael, which led to the downfall of every one of his relationships. Michael has no one because he could not express himself, which is what Hanna instilled on him.
