“The Truth is Rarely Pure and Never Simple.”

Just imagine if you could not tell a lie for one day. That is exactly what happened to Fletcher Coal in Liar Liar. Max, Fletcher’s son, made a wish that his father would not be able to tell a lie for one day, and it came true; that got me thinking. Telling the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, would cause major problems for everybody in society today. Think about it, …

…you are. It really depends on the situation when it is right to tell a lie or not, and that is really up to an individual to figure out. Everyone is taught, “Do not tell a lie or bad things will become of you.” But can you honestly say that you know of one person who hasn’t told a lie. That is why I feel that, “The truth is rarely pure and never simple.”
