…in the end Holden turns out to be not really that bad of a guy. He never really was but he just struggled with the standards that everyone else expected him. Not only did he struggle with his school but he also had trouble getting along with women, meaning he could not get into a serious relationship. Besides all of this, he turns to his family for help but they end up turning to him.
