Everyone on that farm feels lonely. But the hardest part for the people on this farm is feeling only when there is people there with you, with the same situation, that knows each other secrets. …

…they needed some “bonding” time. As compared to the beginning, George and Lennie had their own little “bonding” time. The difference from the beginning and the end is the person that George is bonding with. Instead of Lennie, it is now Slim, thou it seems it likes all over, the reader and identify that no one in the novel, overcame the weakness of men. The theme of this novel is “problems of loneliness in menkind”.
