Things Fall Apart
In the novel Things Fall Apart, Achebe does a good job of trying to interpret what happened in Africa during the early 20th Century. Achebe starts off by giving us a good background of the African heritage, how they lived and the meaning of the way they lived. The title coheres with the book explaining actually how things fell apart in Africa since the coming of the white man and its colonies. Achebe wrote the
that the clan was softening up, and finally killed himself because of it. I think this book was very popular because of the point of view it was written on. The fact that it is a story is about ‘strong man’ whose life is dominated by fear and anger. I think that this reflects on the many lives of people today, and they can some how relate to the fear and anger in this book.
