Seeing the U.S. as a threat, Iraq would possibly use chemical warfare to slowly kill Americans and make them suffer, as opposed to a quick death with nuclear weapons. And this would all be because the military was so bent on having a war, not realizing, or thinking about the consequences that would come after the battle.
