Society has always wanted to believe moral education can change the world and by educating our children “correctly”, one day we all might get along. Although these are reasonable and nice sounding thoughts, they will probably never come true. …one and educate our children so they will grow up to believe the same “right” idea when we, ourselves , the teachers, cannot agree amongst ourselves? The simple answer is because there are people like Atticus, Jem and Scout in the world who hold out a promising future. These are the people who will go to bat for us and who will educate not with words, but with their actions and be models for us all.
